Overview

Staffing Pros, a division of VETS Inc., is recruiting for a full-time PowerApps Developer. This is a Hybrid position located in Rosslyn, VA rotating every other week- 3 days onsite and 2 days remote/2 days onsite and 3 days remote. An Active Secret Clearance is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:  

  • Extensive knowledge of Power Apps, including both canvas apps and model-driven applications, with the ability to design, develop, and optimize complex applications.
  • Strong experience with PowerPages for creating websites and web portals that interact seamlessly with Microsoft Dataverse, ensuring secure and efficient data integration and presentation.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Dataverse, including data modeling, management, and security, with the ability to design and implement effective data structures that support business processes.
  • Proficiency in leveraging Microsoft Power Automate to automate workflows and integrate applications within the Power Platform ecosystem and beyond. 

  

Development Skills: 

  • Solid background in using Microsoft Azure services, especially those related to data storage, and complex functioning apps, to enhance and extend the capabilities of Power Platform solutions. 
  • Experience with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for custom UI enhancements, especially within PowerPages environments. 
  • Knowledge of API development and consumption, including custom connectors in Power Apps, to integrate with external services and legacy systems. 
  • Familiarity with source control and DevOps practices tailored to Power Platform projects, including solution management and deployment across environments. 
  • Familiar with Agile Delivery framework as well as requirements review and decomposition. 

  

Project and Team Leadership:  

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams, including planning, execution, and delivery of Power Platform solutions within scope, time, and budget. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to architect solutions that address complex business requirements and processes. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with stakeholders across different levels of the organization to gather requirements, provide updates, and drive adoption of developed solutions. 
  • Commitment to staying up to date with the latest Power Platform features, industry standards, and best practices in application development and data security. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 9 Years with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. Additional 4 years of experience can substitute degree.  
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule.
  • One of the following certifications:
    • CCNA Cyber Ops  
    • CCNA-Security 
    • CCNP Security 
    • CEH 
    • CFR 
    • CISA 
    • CISSP (or Associate) 
    • Cloud+ 
    • CySA+  
    • CASP + CE
  • Continuous learning mindset with evidence of ongoing professional development in Power Platform technologies, software development principles, and agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate or other relevant certifications demonstrating expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dataverse.
