Staffing Pros, a division of VETS Inc., is recruiting for a full-time DevSecOps Engineer to support our client in Charlotte, NC.
Performs application security assessments and remediation activities and ensures application teams adhere to the SDLC Framework.
Collaborate with key third party security partners to implement best practices and processes as it relates to application security.
Author Agile stories, estimate story points, assist with sprint planning and retrospectives.
Perform advanced security technical troubleshooting for all products.
Build tools and automation scripts that enable developers and engineers to easily consume security services.
Improve the accessibility of security through automation, continuous integration pipelines, and other means.
Understand existing processes and identifying how to improve and streamline them in order to improve the team efficiency and effectiveness as well as enhancing the overall security posture.
Participate as a key member in security incident response activities.
Provide technical application security training to engineering and development teams.
Coordinate Pen-testing remediation activities.
Perform other duties or projects, as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
5+ years relevant experience.
Strong demonstrated hands-on experience on implementing Application Security architectures.
Deeply knowledgeable about security vulnerabilities with the ability to identify them, assess risk, and provide remediation guidance.
Experience using common security testing tools and techniques to perform a variety of security assessments across multiple platforms with significant expertise in either web or mobile penetration testing.
Experience implementing and operating static and dynamic analysis tools.
Experience working as a software engineer.
Knowledgeable about web, mobile, and API development practices.
The ability to fluently read and write code in multiple different languages such as Java, .NET, Python, Ruby, Go, Etc.
Strong knowledge of PCI/HIPPA and other security related standards and requirements.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
