Staffing Pros, a division of VETS Inc., is recruiting for a full-time Security Engineer to support our client in Charlotte, NC.
Serve on the Incident Response Team, employing knowledge and experience to help develop strategy, standards, and processes and to utilize technology to discover, remediate, and recover from security incidents.
Utilize technologies such as the antivirus Endpoint Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Vulnerability Management, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS), Content Filtering, and other tools.
Assists in management of security technology processes, procedures and solutions, which include DLP, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Management, Content Filtering, SIEM, and IDPS.
Monitors viruses, malware, and intrusions.
Maintains documentation of security standards, procedures, processes, and guidelines, including security breach resolution procedures.
Conducts incident prevention, detection, containment, eradication and recovery across IT systems, including developing processes, monitoring events, responding to incidents, summarizing and reporting findings.
Provides direct support to business and IT staff for security related issues, which may include issues with security software.
Conducts advanced log analysis; monitoring and responds to escalated security incidents.
Responsible for end user training and education regarding security procedures and policies for incident mediation.
Provide after hours on-call support as required
Perform other duties or projects, as assigned
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology or closely related field.
1-3+ Years’ experience as a Security Network Engineer.
1-3+ Years’ experience as a SIEM Engineer.
1-3+ Years’ experience in general IT Infrastructure Engineering.
Minimum CISM or equivalent experience and certification.
Server or Virtualization certification a plus.
PowerShell scripting knowledge preferred.
