Staffing Pros, a division of VETS-inc, is seeking a Virtual Platform Administrators to support the Enterprise Virtual Platform Management Support Services task order for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is an agency of the Department of Defense. DLA Information Operations, Infrastructure Services, Enterprise Infrastructure Services, and Technology Foundation Services are located enterprise wide at multiple DLA locations. Enterprise Virtual Platform Management support services encompass both on-premise and off-premise virtualized infrastructure. The DLA Virtual Platform Administrators are responsible for managing all of DLA’s virtualized infrastructure, both on-premise and off-premise. The DLA on-premise infrastructure is comprised of VMware vSphere/vCenter environments running in the DLA East and West Enduring Datacenters (EDC), as well as other major DLA site locations or Installation Processing Nodes (IPN). The hardware, software, and applications running at these locations include VMware vCenter Server, which provides the central platform to manage the underlying VMware vSphere environments and infrastructure.
The DLA VMware infrastructure is comprised of hardware, software, applications and vendor appliances. The hardware includes Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) B-series and C-series blade servers and chassis, Cisco UCS Mini blade servers and chassis, Cisco UCS HyperFlex, Dell PowerEdge (PE) servers, and HP ProLiant Servers. The software, applications, and appliances include VMware vSphere/vCenter Server and the VMware vRealize Suite, which is comprised of vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations, vRealize Log Insight, and vRealize Business for Cloud.
