  • Overview

    Staffing Pros a Division of VETS Inc is looking for a full time Systems Engineer to support a Government Client in Charleston, SC.


    Leverage expertise in operating systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, triage, and hardening. Conduct OS-level scripting. Monitor infrastructure and operating system level services. Apply expertise in operating system logs, tools, and monitoring functions.


    Required Skills:

    • Experience with systems administration in a data center environment or public Cloud, including the relationship between applications, operating system, software, and Cloud resources
    • Experience with Cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure -Experience with VMWare, Linux, Windows and open source software
    • Experience with scripting, including shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, and Python Experience with configuration management tools, including Chef, Puppet, and Ansible
    • Experience with common computing platform configuration processes, including ITIL, Agile, and DevOps
    • Experience with monitoring tools, including Foglight, Splunk, and New Relic -Knowledge of virtualization and Cloud computing architectures and concepts
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with application server and web servers, including IIS, Apache, Oracle WebLogic, NginX, and Node.js.
    • Experience with implementing automated processes into PaaS/IaaS environments
    • Experience with databases and Oracle SQL -BS degree in CS, MIS, or a related field
