      VETS, Inc., is looking for an experience Jr Systems Administrator (Windows) to join our growing team at Scott AFB


    This position will be responsible for performing complex systems administrations tasks serving both SDDC and the United States Transportation Command.   The employee will work to build new systems and implement fix actions on existing infrastructure.  Works as part of a project team to support a dynamic, medium/large scale enterprise environment.



    • 1 to 3 years of Windows system administration experience
    • Experience with Windows Server operating systems
    • Proven Tier 2/3 Customer Support
    • Strong inter-personal and communication skills:
    • Able to follow Standard Operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Have an understanding of OSI layers, IP addressing
    • Capable of diagnosing system hardware issues
    • Proven troubleshooting skills including independent problem solving; self-directed, self-starting.
    • Familiar with high availability and clustering concepts and engineering
    • Ability to perform system audits
    • Perform system remediation for vulnerabilities
    • Experience using a ticketing system, and able to assign tickets based on troubleshooting


    • Windows Server 2008r2/2012r2 and troubleshooting
    • Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS
    • Enterprise backup experience
    • Enterprise management software experience, such as SolarWinds
    • Working knowledge of Vmware virtualization technologies
