    VETS inc is hiring for a full time Network Engineer to support one of our Government Contracts in Herndon VA.

    Responsibilities

    This position requires the expertise of a seasoned network engineer in support of the SBA Operations Hosting environment of which the technical team will provide continuous support.  

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Existing Clearance from a government agency (DOD, SBA, other)  Minimum of Public Trust
    • US or Perm Resident
    • Understanding Active-Active and Active-Standby architectures
    • Strong experience with Cisco Nexus 5K, FEX 2K switches and ASR1000 routers
    • Experience with troubleshooting cisco AnyConnect remote VPN client
    • Experience with DataCenter deployments, power specs and requirements, datacenter footprints, rack elevation solutions
    • Experience with cabling, racking and stacking. transceiver/media types, fiber & copper types and uses
    • Experience with BGPv4, understanding multi-homing link failover concepts, Load-sharing concepts
    • Experience with EIGRP Route redistribution
    • Experience with firewall base structure for ACL rules and policies
    • Experience with remote VPN solution capabilities with 2 factor authentication utilizing digital certificates
    • Understanding of Site-to-site VPN, IP Addressing, NAT, ACL, Multipath configuration of network devices, dynamic and static routing
    • Experience with Cisco 3560, 3750 stackable Switches, VLANS, Trunking, STP, Ether channel
    • Understanding of Networking, LAN, and security systems/port security
    • Experience with IP address management in a VLSM environment

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Experience with Radius, AAA, TACACS+. Setting up authorization and authentication policies
    • Understanding other dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, IGRP, and RIP
    • Experience with Solar Winds tool or other related monitoring tools and use of SNMP version 2 and/or 3 type
    • Experience with F5 load-balancers for LTM
