  • Overview

    VETS Inc is hiring for a full time Senior Management Consultant to support one of our Government Contracts in Reston VA or at the Pentagon. 

    *This position is contingent upon award


    The Senior Management Consultant will synchronize doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, facilities and policy (DOTMLPF-P) solutions, coordinate with Program representatives on process, policy, change management, acquisition and fielding issues.


    • Establish and oversee user constraints, objectives, and requirements for supportability
    • Enable the horizontal and vertical integration of capabilities into the Army formations
    • Support capture, codification and development of requirements with supporting analysis, JCIDS and architecture products
    • Develop and analyze operational concepts, tactics, techniques and procedures pertaining to Army commands including but not limited to; support capabilities fielding; formulation of doctrine; development and delivery of training; performance of studies and analysis, assessments, process analysis, change management, testing, evaluations, experimentation, prototyping, demonstrations, exercises, and user representative activities


    • Experience at the Flag Officer-Senior Analyst equivalent or level with change management, strategy development and organizational design.
    • 10 years experience as Army Staff Officer in acquisition, requirements development/processes, Army Command at Colonel and/Flag Officer level, Joint Staff Experience, Combatant Command, or OSD, including comprehensive understanding of policy, requirements, modernization, and acquisition strategies, and plans
    • Knowledge of how to integrate the Army’s capabilities with other Services, US government agencies, and foreign government partners
    • Knowledge of formal and informal procedures and processes for resourcing DoD and developing national security and military strategy (PPBES)
    • Secret clearance
    • Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics, statistics or a business/management discipline
    • Graduate MEL 1, Senior Service College or equivalent.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with concept to capability and gap analysis
    • Experience with force development, acquisition processes and management
    • Top Secret clearance
    • Graduate of SAMS or Army Strategist Program
    • Graduate of Senior Service College
    • Experience with recent Change Management work.
