Describe the responsibilities of the position (what will the employee be doing):
This position will be responsible for performing complex system administration of the Host Based Security System (HBSS) that serves both SDDC and the United States Transportation Command (USTC). Primary responsibility is to implement, configure, and manage USTC’s Centralized Enclave’s HBSS in coordination with the Army’s Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) and USTC Information Assurance Manager (IAM) and Information Assurance Security Officers (IASOs). Further responsibilities include: The integration and maintenance of HBSS components and deployment of Agent modules, software, and approved policies; the installation, maintenance, and review of system specifications, designs, and solutions; and works as part of a project team in the integration of system engineering modifications or stand- alone solutions to engineering support requirements.
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree (highly desired) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical disciplines. 6 years of specialized experience may be substituted for a 4-year college degree.
Required Certs: Security+ continuing education (Security+CE), and either Windows or HBSS certified. Exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis
