Provide Army G2 Automated Systems Integrated Database (ASID) and Information Technology (IT) support for Headquarters


Describe the responsibilities of the position (what will the employee be doing):

  • Serve as the Army G2 liaison with the infrastructure provider for the full-range of issues dealing with the operation, and maintenance of the physical and logical networks and any proposed changes to the G-2 networks which includes NIPERNET, SIPERNET and JWICS
  • Provide telecommunication technology, configuration and procedure recommendations including for VOIP and Desktop VTC.
  • Supports the designs, evaluation, tests, and implementation of equipment on the G-2 networks IAW Information Assurance and Security posturing
  • Participates in the Configuration Management Process
  • Maintains a Telecommunications Continuity Book
  • Provides technical and engineering knowledge for communications activities including planning, designing, developing, testing, installing and maintaining three communication networks for the Army G-2.
  • Directs all networking tasks necessary to respond to higher headquarters to include Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) with respect to actions affecting the Army's G-2 Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).


Required Skills

  • Telecommunications and network Experience– Minimum 3 years.
  • Tandberg and VOIP experience 1-3 years
  • Knowledge and Experience in using Micro Soft VSIO 1-3 years

Desired Skills

  • Army G2 telecommunications environment

US Citizenship is required

Bachelors degree

This position requires an active/current DoD TS/SCI clearance.
