VETS Inc is hiring for a full time exempt Web Designer position to support one of our Government Contracts in Arlington, Va.
Designs, develops, tests, implements, and maintains, the HQDA,ODCS, Army G-2 web sites on NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWICS.
Provides guidance to the customers in the design of web sites, addressing topics such as site layout, navigational structure, graphic art and design, and functionality.
Maintains a standard “look and feel” on how Army logos, graphics, menus and other elements are laid out on the G-2 website/portals, as well as how functions are selected and performed on the G-2 website/portals.
Employs a standard software development and maintenance process.
Provides webmaster services in support of the G-2 Knowledge Centers (KC) and related web portals on G-2 NIPR, SIPR and JWICS networks. Support includes building websites via SharePoint, Visual Studio, or Adobe Dreamweaver, website maintenance, software development, database development and providing support to System administrators in relation to web server requirements.
Provides user documentation for web sites in accordance with the G-2 Network Divisions Web Teams Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). These procedures indicated that all new web sites shall have documentation indicating POC for the site as well as special hardware or software required to create the website.
Provides webmaster services on websites created within the G-2. The webmaster creates websites, but will provide training to users on how the site operates and if there are any special features. Training for users owning a SharePoint website is also required. Training for SharePoint sites includes site operation as well as making updates if the user chooses to add their own data.
Ensures websites are in full compliance with DoD, Army, and Intelligence Community web service, IA and information security regulations, directives, and implementation guidance.
Makes recommendations to the CMB for website enhancements or upgrades in response to changes in government policy or commercial/government technology advances/changes.
Assists users with content management of HQDA,ODCS, Army G-2 website/portals.
Conducts weekly reviews of HQDA,ODCS, Army G-2 web pages and portals to ensure information is up-to-date and notify originator(s) of outdated material.
Develops and maintains a hardcopy and softcopy Webmaster Services Continuity Book (CB) for assigned projects.
Dreamweaver software for general use web pages
Microsoft Visual Studio.
SharePoint specific software suites constructed for SharePoint web site environments 2007 (JWICS), 2010/2013 (NIPRNet/SIPRNet)
Army Knowledge Online content construction will be constructed with AKO internal tools.
Active TS SCI Clearance
Security Plus certification
Knowlege to operate in the Cloud computing environment
Knowledge of Army G2 telecommunications environment and SQL Database
